The library is serving free sack lunches to-go this summer for kids under 18!   Lunches are sponsored and prepared by the SE Food Bank. Location and times are different depending upon the day, and library location, so please continue reading to see specific dates/times for your preferred location.   Lunches will be available for pickup at the Main Library on the Walnut St.

Make a one-on-one appointment, or join a class with our technology trainer.  Appointments can be made via phone or in-person at your local library branch.  Appointments are available weekdays, evenings and Saturdays.  Topics include Basic Understanding and Operation of: Desktop, Laptop, Tablet, Smartphone, eReader Software, Applications, Internet and many other technologies- ask us!  You can choose!

Join us for week 2 of our Summer Reading Program!

During week 2 of our program, we are so excited to host an event all about our favorite community helpers! We will have firefighters, police officers, teachers, EMTs, and more discussing why their job is important to them and answering any questions from the audience. If time allows, we will complete a craft afterwards and all supplies needed will be provided by The Laurelville Library.

Our entertainer for week 4 is Shelled Ones & Friends, a local reptile rescue and rehabilitation group that teaches children about the importance of sharing the Earth with all creatures, big and small! Kids will learn and be able to interact with turtles, reptiles and more!

Our presenter for week 3 is Mrs. Jane Thoman from the Ohio State University Extension Office and she is going to discuss all the ways that food can bring us together. Kids will learn about healthy food groups and how to cook small, but hearty meals by themselves.

Join us for week 5 of our Summer Reading Program!

In week 5 of our Summer Reading Program we will be accepting donations on behalf of the Hocking County Humane Society. HCHS will be attending with pets that the children can meet and interact with and discussing animal safety when it comes to strays. All attendees will get to make their own stuffed animal puppy. Supplies are provided by The Laurelville Library.
