As a part of the free monthly Local Authors-Spring Series, LizAnn Baker, will be at the library on Tuesday, April 12 at 6:00 pm to present her latest book, Lessons of the Heart. This inspirational book complements her two previous fictional books, Lessons of Honor, and Lessons of Love. Baker has been a resident of Hocking County for over 30 years, growing up in Bremen. She is a retired schoolteacher who taught for 30 years at Liberty Union school in Baltimore.
Baker will do a short reading from Lessons of the Heart and be available to sign copies and talk to attendees after her reading. Copies of the book will be available to purchase at the signing. A signed copy of the book will be given to one lucky attendee in a random drawing at the end of the program. Lessons of the Heart is a historical novel that follows Lacy Rogers and the pursuit of her dream to live in the high society of Boston, the desolation of her dreams, and the ultimate solution to her shame and broken heart. Light refreshments will also be served.
The event will take place in the library’s meeting room, which can be accessed from its Walnut Street entrance. The library is located at 230 E. Main Street in Logan, Ohio.
